Discover the natural wonders of Moncton, New Brunswick. Within a short drive of this city lies Fundy National Park, a 206 kilometer park full of rare birds and marine wonders on the Bay of Fundy. Magnetic Hill is one of the strangest natural attractions in Canada as you can drive over the hill, put your car in neutral and watch it climb back up on its own. Visit the creation of the largest tides in the world at Hopewell Rocks and the Tidal Bores, or relax on the beaches of Kouchibugoac National Park.

New Brunswick is also home to the Acadians; you must come and visit the widely popular cultural attraction, Le Pays de la Sagouine.

Created from internationally renowned Acadian novelist and author Antonine Maillet's imagination, this  real live village, on its very own island, in an enchanting natural setting alive with theatre, music, comedy and dance, allows visitors to discover the unique Acadian culture. Evenings also come alive with a variety of dinner-theatres and musical evenings. The whole cast of characters, accompanied by two house bands, will keep your fingers snapping, your feet tapping and your spirits light all through your visit.  You can also enjoy our Christmas Dinner Theaters during the months of November and December.   The island where Acadians celebrate their joie de vivre!

All of this combined with great maritime cuisine makes Moncton the place to be.

New Brunswick Hotels

Visitors to New Brunswick will find a wide range of accommodations, including first-class hotels, resorts, historic inns, bed-and-breakfasts, hunting and fishing lodges, campgrounds and budget motels. The Fairmont-Algonquin Resort in St. Andrews, a provincial landmark, is a rambling old Tudor-style manor house where the clock has been turned back to 1900. Even the bellboys keep the aura alive by wearing kilts and playing the bagpipes when the flags—both Canadian and U.S.—come down at dusk.

Summer is the prime tourist season, so be sure to reserve ahead to avoid disappointment. Part of New Brunswick's charm is its small, quaint villages. On Grand Manan Island, for example, most lodgings are booked solid before the summer season begins and can't accommodate tourists who decide on a whim to stick around for a few extra days. Provincial and national campgrounds also book up early in the spring, so plan your trip early.
